Some classification methods in regional geography
Abstract
This article deals with classification problems and the attempt to apply them to regional geography. The specific area is divided into units of equal size, from which all possible information is collected. This material is grouped under six principal components. The component scores are the basic material of classification.
This article does not aim at definite results but at methodical experiments. I have used so-called grouping analysis, discriminant analysis, Q-mode factor analysis and linkage analysis. Each classification method can be compared regionally and to the natural conditions. How to Cite
